Immunization Tracking By Computer

This Selected Short Subject educational program is being presented at the 1995 Philadelphia Spring Session of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

DATE: Tuesday, April 11, 1995
TIME: 4:00 pm - 4:50 pm
FACULTY: Stuart T. Weinberg, MD
SESSION and ROOM: F434, PCC, Room 103C

Program Abstract

Between the tickler files, chart front sheets, changing vaccine schedules, mandatory information requirements, immunization inventories, and the possibility of lot recalls, maintaining up-to-date immunization records with the ability to identify and assess a specific patient population can be a challenge. Can computers help in the practice or clinic setting? Concrete working examples will be presented, focusing on the features of an ideal tracking system and possible integration with existing systems. Handouts will be available, and questions will be encouraged.
