The Primary Care Center GURU application is a clinical database application developed by Stuart T. Weinberg, MD using GURU® 7.0, an expert-system-enhanced database programming environment created by Micro Data Base Systems, Inc.

Among the tasks of the GURU application:

  • Easy look-up of patients by last name, medical record number, birthdate, or alternate last name
  • Daily generation of customized encounter forms for scheduled and walk-in patients
  • Patient assignments to specific primary care providers (resident, fellow, nurse practitioner)
  • Immunization tracking, including flu shot recommendations
  • Problem list tracking
  • Patient contact histories, including cancelled/failed visits, referrals, types of visits, visit provider
The application currently runs on the Windows NT environment through CHP's internal network.
